Dad'd Amy is directed by Oliver Parker and is the cinematic reboot of the classic 1960's Dad's Army television program.
A very good tribute to the original. Truly Funny; has it's good moments, although could have been put together much better, I found myself questioning the actual strength of the plot as I feel it was not very clear to me that they went in knowing what exactly they wanted to make. Hilarious one liners courtesy of Michael Gambon who was a great use of acting talent as well as Catherine Zeta Jones who played the role of a fairly attractive journalist. Whist these two mostly made the film we didn't see much from either of them. Nice, relaxed film to watch on a cold Sunday afternoon, plot could have been developed more and a tiny bit slow but overall most satisfactory. I'm going to give Dad's Army 6.8/10
